Customized Enclosed Ground Flare Systems for Low Radiation Gas Combustion
Zexuan provides customized enclosed ground flare systems designed for safe and efficient combustion of waste gas, relief gas and emergency vent gas from LNG, oil & gas, refinery and petrochemical facilities.
Unlike conventional elevated flare systems, enclosed ground flares operate within a refractory-lined enclosure that shields the flame, reduces thermal radiation and minimizes visible flame impact.
With integrated engineering, manufacturing and commissioning capabilities, Zexuan delivers complete enclosed ground flare solutions according to project requirements, gas composition, flow rate and environmental standards.
What is an Enclosed Ground Flare System?
An enclosed ground flare system (EGF) is an advanced flare combustion technology where the flare burners are installed inside a vertical enclosure structure.
The enclosure contains the combustion zone and provides shielding against radiation, noise and visible flame. The combustion process takes place in a controlled environment, allowing safe operation in locations where conventional elevated flares may not be suitable.
Enclosed ground flares are widely used in LNG terminals, petrochemical plants, refineries and industrial facilities where environmental requirements and community considerations are important.
Working Principle
How Does an Enclosed Ground Flare Work?
The waste gas enters the enclosed flare through a distribution system and is delivered to multiple burners located inside the combustion chamber.
Fuel gas and ignition systems ensure reliable flame initiation and stable combustion.
The refractory-lined enclosure maintains high temperature conditions, improves combustion efficiency and reduces radiation exposure to surrounding areas.
The combustion products are discharged through the top of the enclosure after complete oxidation.
Main Components of Enclosed Ground Flare System
1. Burner System
High-performance flare burners provide stable flame distribution and efficient combustion under different operating conditions.

2. Refractory Lined Enclosure
The refractory lining protects the structure from high temperature and ensures long service life during continuous operation.- refractory lined flare enclosure
3. Ignition System
- Low radiation flare system
Reduced Visible Flame
The flame is hidden inside the enclosure, minimizing visual impact and improving environmental acceptance.
- Invisible flare / low visible flame flare
Low Noise Operation
The enclosed combustion design helps reduce combustion noise and improves surrounding environmental conditions.
